On the same bill, someone who my son Cameron told me of two years ago Natalie Duncan natalie-duncan-l  an English soul/blues singer. She released her debut EP on the Farmyard Records label in 2009 and then featured in Goldie’s Band. She released her debut album Devil in Me in 2012 and then appeared on Later with Jools. (see this video) She has been compared to the likes of Alicia Keys and Nina Simone.

On stage first, making his debut is Aaron Floyd (12)Aaron   is only just starting out, but he has already performed to a full house at Birmingham Hippodrome earlier this year and begun growing an online following thanks to his brilliant debut track ‘Wish You Hadn’t Gone’ (listen ) Inspired by singers such as Sam Smith and John Newman, his songs are soulful and performed with a maturity beyond his young years!

Sat 21/03/2015                Sam Sallon sam sallon was a delightful find at the end of 2014. He was on the same bill as Three Pilgrims in The Green Note (Camden). Sam has a huge vocal range and in some respects his voice reminds me of Rolf Tinlin. His music is both complex and hauntingly simple, tunes which you cannot let go…even when you’re trying to go to sleep! His technical ability reminded me of Will Mcnicol, he’s that good. Supporting Sam will be Vashti Anna vashtibrother to Charlie Winston Charlie+Winston cb and Tom Baxter tombaxter who played at The Drawingroom (buy his album here, it is totally stunning)in Dec 2014 with Jasmine Rodgers jasminerodger both wonderful musicians. Jasmine and Vashti’s family are steeped in music with both parents playing and performing in places like The Drawingroom as they grew up. She has a voice which dances over the hairs on the back of your neck; hauntingly beautiful, melodic and tuneful..cannot wait.

We love him which is why he’s back for his fourth show and as if that were not enough the amazing music and voice of  jazzmorley  Jazz Morely    Soulful Dorset girl Jazz Morley has music running through her veins; her first public performance was at a mere 4 years old, and she hasn’t stopped since. Since the age of 18 Jazz has worked as a full time musician, using the piano as her writing tool and taking inspiration from early influences such as Whitney Houston and Gladys Knight right through to todays greats including AdeleSam Smith and Jessie Ware.

BBC Introducing support first came to Jazz in February 2011 when she was invited to take part in the BBC Introducing Musicians Masterclass at Abbey Road Studios. When Jazz wrote a song for her brother who served in Afghanistan, BBC3 invited her to contribute to the extraordinarily moving documentary ‘Our War’.

Everything from foot-stamping blues numbers to upbeat Brazilian dances through to powerful folk-influenced tunes and African rhythms are tackled by the pair. They’re both Drawingroom vets and very excited to get out on the road to take their debut album, Hitchhiker around the UK.

Sat   20/12/2014                  Hannah  Scott hannah Scott FB  together with her cellist extraordinaire Stefano, the pair create dramatically beautiful original, tuneful, crafted sounds. If there was a voice which could work with the music and guitar of Will Mcnicol, this is it. Maybe one day we will be able to effect such an introduction. There’s a track ‘all the children’ is amongst so many of the tracks worth a listen, she really is something. Praise for Hannah’s distinctive voice, strong melodies and thought-provoking lyrics has arrived from influential publications such as MOJO, who shortlisted her from hundreds of entries for the final of their New Voice competition, and The Guardian, who handpicked her as their New Band of the Day. Further appreciation and national airplay has come from BBC 6Music’s Tom Robinson. Her arresting live performances have earned her invitations to open for artists including Norah Jones, Ed Sheeran and 10cc …..and she has performed at renowned venues such as the Union Chapel as well, of course, as playing throughout Italy.

Sat   06/12/2014                   Tom Baxter tombaxterA legendary singer/ songwriter with distinctive lyrical and descriptive songs which he delivers in an intimate and personal way. Tom Baxter’s songs are a musical reflection of real life and in a refreshing break from the norm, Tom Baxter sings it like he means it.  legendary residency at Bush Hall in Shepards Bush in 2003 (remember ‘Better’) he was signed to Sony. Earlier this week Tom joined Janice Long in the studio for a Spoken Word session. You can listen to the interview at Tom’s Soundcloud. Tom is brother to  Charlie Winston a rock legend  in France and a close friend of Estas Tonne. Supporting Tom will be…...Jasmine Rodgers, one of our absolute favourite performers...this will be extraordinary.

Sat    01/11/2014                  Chris Woods Groove  Will McNicol    &   Elliott MorrisElliot Will CHRIS WOODS GROOVE, Rarely will you find three such extraordinary guitarist appearing on one bill.  Although all three ‘fretboard’ wizards tour regularly, this trio set up is something a bit different, as explains Will Mcnicol (Acoustic Guitarist of the Year). ‘When we decided we were going to make this happen, we each got in touch with some of our favourite venues, to see if they’d be interested. The response was overwhelming, so much so that we simply couldn’t accommodate them all! We’re really happy with how this tour is shaping up though and if all goes to plan we’ll do another in the future!’

Each will play their own set and then all three will perform together in what I am hoping will be a ‘jam extraordinaire!’ Come and witness something special…Saturday 1st Nov.

Supper is available too and we are licensed…so come to Francis Yard and enjoy a chilled and relaxing evening with great original music.

Sat 02/08/2014  Kal Lavelle kal laval  is an Irish born singer songwriter now living in London. Her songs are instantly captivating, with a voice that Alex Zane (Channel 4) praised as simply “beautiful”…which is why she is back..her second or third time here..a rare honour.

Kal began playing guitar after winning a £1000 in a Mars Bar when she was 10 yrs old. With the money, she bought her mother a washing machine and for herself, her first guitar.

Kal’s debut EP ‘Shivers’ climbed to #5 in the iTunes Singer/Songwriter chart. The iTunes US & Japanese stores also featured her in the ‘New & Noteworthy’ section. This in turn led to her song ‘Breakfast At Tiffanys’ being chosen as ‘Single of the Week’ on iTunes.

&  Antonio Lulic antonio lulic   is a singer-songwriter whose deep, gravelled vocal combines with an intimate and powerful lyrical style to deliver a uniquely soulful, passionate and uplifting performance.
supporting Ed Sheeran on his sold out UK tour, before showcasing in early 2012 at the prestigious SXSW Music festival in Texas and, in 2013, returned to the US to open for Ed once more at his sold out New York City headline show – his performances drawing comparisons all the way from early Springsteen to Mumford & Sons.
