Polly Paulusma is a British singer-songwriter known for her evocative blend of folk and acoustic music. She gained critical acclaim with her debut album, “Scissors in My Pocket,” released in 2004 under Björk’s label, One Little Independent. Beyond her solo work, Paulusma has contributed to film soundtracks, founded the record label Wild Sound, and produced records for various indie-folk artists. She also holds a PhD in literature and musicology, focusing on Angela Carter’s folk singing, and teaches songwriting and poetry at Cambridge University.
