Gig Sat 5th Dec Dan Wilde and Vashti Anna

Sat  05/12/15                      Dan Wilde dan wilde uk and Vashti Anna vashti both returning artists, a measure in which they are both held; awesome.
“Absolutely Stunning” said veteran BBC Radio 2 presenter Janice Long and “A touch of class” The independent review, Glastonbury.  One of the music industries best kept secrets, Vashti Anna has a reputation for mesmerizing live audiences with her beautifully soaring, haunting style. She is a natural performer; she brings refreshingly honest and emotionally driven themes to her music. Born into Musical royalty with two award winning older brothers (Tom Baxter & Charlie Winston) having set the tone for her career, Vashti’s performing began on the piano at the age of 6 in the Suffolk hotel where she and her brothers grew up. Constantly surrounded by talented performers, Vashti honed her skills amongst a strong network of like minded talent which lead to her recording, touring and promoting her own nights with artists Ed Sheeran, Nick Mulvey, Tom Baxter, Charlie Winston, Hank Wangford, Beth Rowley, Sam Semple, Jamie Lawson to name just a few – as well as continually recording her own music…since when, she’s added motherhood to her repertoire as well…
Dan Wilde first appeared on our stage almost two years ago, and travels extensively. Dan has been performing his own brand of richly observant folk both in the UK and around the world for the past five years. And in that time, he’s developed a growing fan-base and a reputation amongst those who know as “a fantastic songwriting talent who without a doubt will deserve and demand your attention”

Gig 17th Oct Kenny White & Ike Greenwood

Sat 17/10/2015                  Kenny White kennywhite Kenny is the bluesiest jazz piano playing singer-songwriter I know. He performed here two years ago and nailed it. At eight years old, upon being asked whether he’d practiced this week’s piano lesson, Kenny said, “yeah…but HERE’S what I wrote.” Since when he has gone on to write for film, TV and accumulated fans  like David Crosby (Stills&Nash) and multi-award (Oscar and Grammy) winning Will Jennings, he has huge respect amongst artists the World over. His lyrics are intelligent, funny and his music reflects the enormous gray matter from which he writes. Supporting Kenny tonight and making his debut will be Ike Greenwood. Also on keys with some of his own material and some you may know, either way Ike is just 14 years old and someone to watch.

Gig 3rd Oct Jesse Terry & Sharon Lewis

We’re back with another stunning night of music food and entertainment this coming Saturday

JT at beach -small   Jesse Terry  “Jesse is a troubadour in the classic sense. His songs and voice remind one of James Taylor, Dan Fogelberg, and even Ryan Adams. He writes with true craft, and his melodies linger with you long after just one listen. He sings the melodies with passion and believability every time. It is easy to be struck by how great his songs are and how Jesse delivers them with such ease.”

Sharon Lewis SharonLewis Much revered for her tender and heartfelt songs, enchanting songstress, Sharon Lewis weaves a rare and compelling spell with delicate vocals and piano/guitar playing.

Formerly of the highly regarded female duo Pooka, whose union spanned a decade releasing four albums and several EPs to great acclaim (‘so fine, it’s almost worrying!’ **** Q Magazine). Sat 20/12/2014 Hannah Scott

Sat   20/12/2014                  Hannah  Scott hannah Scott FB  together with her cellist extraordinaire Stefano, the pair create dramatically beautiful original, tuneful, crafted sounds. If there was a voice which could work with the music and guitar of Will Mcnicol, this is it. Maybe one day we will be able to effect such an introduction. There’s a track ‘all the children’ is amongst so many of the tracks worth a listen, she really is something. Praise for Hannah’s distinctive voice, strong melodies and thought-provoking lyrics has arrived from influential publications such as MOJO, who shortlisted her from hundreds of entries for the final of their New Voice competition, and The Guardian, who handpicked her as their New Band of the Day. Further appreciation and national airplay has come from BBC 6Music’s Tom Robinson. Her arresting live performances have earned her invitations to open for artists including Norah Jones, Ed Sheeran and 10cc …..and she has performed at renowned venues such as the Union Chapel as well, of course, as playing throughout Italy.

1st Nov 2014

Sat    01/11/2014                  Chris Woods Groove  Will McNicol    &   Elliott MorrisElliot Will CHRIS WOODS GROOVE, Rarely will you find three such extraordinary guitarist appearing on one bill.  Although all three ‘fretboard’ wizards tour regularly, this trio set up is something a bit different, as explains Will Mcnicol (Acoustic Guitarist of the Year). ‘When we decided we were going to make this happen, we each got in touch with some of our favourite venues, to see if they’d be interested. The response was overwhelming, so much so that we simply couldn’t accommodate them all! We’re really happy with how this tour is shaping up though and if all goes to plan we’ll do another in the future!’

Each will play their own set and then all three will perform together in what I am hoping will be a ‘jam extraordinaire!’ Come and witness something special…Saturday 1st Nov.
